This movie was highly anticipated and for good reason. It is the summation of the previous Terminator movies and it did not disappoint. Christian Bale, who seems to be cast in everything now, delivers a pretty good John Connor. In fact, it was so good, it made Eric Stahl and Edward Furlong look inadequate in their roles. Terminator picks up years after the Terminator 3 left off and the resistance (a band of humans) are fighting to live through the machine apocolypse, per se. The movie centers around a human/robot hybrid, played by Sam Worthington who plays an important role in the movie. Not to disclose anything utterly important, his role, rather, the idea of his role has been mentioned in previous Terminators. This movie is excellent from an action and story stand point. Will there be other Terminator movies? You’ll have to see and interpret the ending for yourself. The only knock I give the movie is the fact that it remained PG-13. The storyline lent so much more to open it to an R rating. The movie is good and if you have a chance, it must be seen in theaters. On a scale of 1-10, I give this movie a 9. It was good and excellent on many fronts, but I give it a 9 only because of the rating.
